The Jellyman’s Daughter lands squarely in the middle of a strange crossroads between bluegrass, post-rock, folk and soul. Mixing their unique vocal harmonies with wild and visceral cello, driving guitar and sweet mandolin, Emily and Graham write their songs together with a focus on doing something new.
After a well-received debut album in 2014, the pair have been working away on their new album, ‘Dead Reckoning’, which will be released in Spring 2018, followed by extensive tours of the UK, Europe and North America. On the album Emily and Graham’s voices and instruments are complimented on various songs by double bass (Paul Gilbody), banjo (Jamie Francis) and a 16-piece string orchestra.
For this launch gig The Jellyman’s Daughter will be in four-piece formation to present the new songs live as faithfully as possible – unfortunately the 16 string players couldn’t make the gig.
“All songs stand alone with no weak links… Classy stuff” – Americana UK
“A really original sound… really enjoying that” – Ricky Ross
