The Delines Coming Back To Glasgow

The Delines packed out Oran Mor during Celtic Connections in January and had the crowd silenced with their stunning performance.

The new album Imperial was Number 1 for two weeks running in official UK Americana charts.

The Delines are led by vocalist Amy Boone( The Damnations, TX), the keyboard and horn work of Cory Gray, as well as Richmond Fontaine members: Sean Oldham, Freddie Trujillo, and Willy Vlautin.


Vlautin, the acclaimed novelist and songwriter for Richmond Fontaine, has penned all ten tracks. Vlautin’s book Lean on Pete was recently released as a major motion picture. Richmond Fontaine broke up in 2016 after releasing over ten records.

This should will be a cracker and in the very plush surroundings of BAaD Glasgow.

Charlie Parr & JD Wilkes Glasgow Show

Blue Rose Code Sold Out-Roseanne Reid

The Blue Rose Code show on the 7th March in Saint Luke’s is totally sold out.

We are not surprised this show has sold out so quickly, sorry to those of you who couldn’t get a ticket.

We are also delighted to tell you that the amazingly talented Roseanne Reid will open up the show.

If you are lucky enough to have  a ticket best to get along early to get a good seat.

After opening up for the likes of The Secret Sisters and Shakin Stevens in Glasgow in recent years, it will be great to see Danni Nicholls play her own headline show.

Danni plays The Admiral Bar on Wednesday 17th April with the wonderful Martha Healy opening up the show.

Hayes Carll Cottiers Date

The wonderful Hayes Carll will be back in Glasgow and with a fantastic new album. “What It Is” was released on the 15th February.

Hayes’s fiancée Allison Moorer co-wrote half the songs on the album and also co-produced on it as well.

Hayes plays Cottiers Theatre on Thursday 16th May, Tickets from Tickets Scotland, Ticketweb and Cottiers online.

Yola Debut Album

Yola’s new album, “Walk Through Fire” produced by Dan Auerbach was released last week (22nd February) and is receiving glowing reviews already.

Scorcher Of A Show With Jason

Jason the front man of Jason & The Scorchers plays an intimate show in The CCA (Club Room) on Thursday 28th March 2019.

We couldn’t find a big enough venue for this show, so make sure you get your tickets early.

Yola-Saint Luke’s 14th May

After opening our Glasgow Americana in such splendid fashion, we are delighted that Yola makes a return to Glasgow in May.

The Bristol based singer who appeared on Jools Holland’s New Year Hootenanny on Hogmanay last year will play Saint Luke’s on Tuesday 14th May.

Yola’s new album Walk Through Fire will be released on the 22nd February, have a listen to one of the tracks, Ride Out In The Country on

Lau Announce Glasgow Date

We are delighted to have the wonderful Lau making a welcome to return to Glasgow on Saturday the 1st June this year.

Lau return with a show at The Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow and also an album due for release in February of this year.

The band consists of Kris Drever, Aidan O’Rourke and Martin Green.

Rachel Sermanni is playing a double header in Glasgow and Edinburgh next week with her friend from Colorado, Courtney Hartman.

They play The Caves in Edinburgh on Wednesday 24th October, tickets are going well, but still available for now from Tickets Scotland and Ticketweb.

The following night you can find Rachel and Courtney in The CCA in Glasgow. We are delighted to see that the CCA will be open again for this and many other shows coming up.

Jason Eady Tomorrow Night (18th October)

We welcome the great Austin based singer song writer Jason Eady to The Admiral Bar tomorrow night to give him his Glasgow debut.

The doors for this show will now open at 8pm instead of 7.30pm as previously advertised and Jason will go on stage at 8pm with no support. This is down to operational reasons in The Admiral, the show will still finish around 10pm.

We would like to thank all who attended concerts during our Glasgow Americana Festival at the start of the month.

Our 10 day Americana extravaganza took place at various venues over a 5 day period from the 3rd to 7th October and was a fantastic run of shows.

Artists from various parts came to play for us, they came from New York, Texas, Iowa, Tennessee, Australia via Stroud, England and various parts of Scotland.

Glasgow Americana 2018

We are getting all set for our 12th annual Glasgow Americana festival that kicks off on Wednesday the 3rd October with Yola Carter and Red Pine Timber Co in Cottiers Theatre.

The festival runs for 5 days until the 7th October at various venues across the city.

Other highlights include Emily Barker, Kimmie Rhodes, Anthony D’Amato, Starry Skies plus lots more…

LAU- 7th December The Queens Hall Edinburgh

Lau’s final show of 2018 is a chance to hear some of the band’s first new music since 2015’s The Bell That Never Rang (Album of The Year – The Herald, The Guardian) alongside favourites from throughout their career.

Lau’s new music was written in Shetland and continues their experimental approach to folk music.

Lau are Kris Drever, Aidan O’Rourke, and Martin Green.

Glasgow Debut For Joshua Hedley

Over the years we have given the likes of Sam Baker, Sturgill Simpson, and Sam Outlaw their Glasgow headline debuts.

We are looking forward to adding the name of Joshua Hedley to that illustrious list.

For years, Joshua Hedley has been making a name for himself as Nashville’s right hand man. Known as the “mayor of lower Broadway” by collaborators and comrades, Hedley is a fixture at Robert’s Western World, where he plays for tips with his band the Hedliners. The multi-talented singer-songwriter has played fiddle with Justin Townes Earle, Robert Ellis and Jonny Fritz. Now Music City’s favorite son is breaking out on his own.

Alejandro Back With New Album & Glasgow Show

Austin Texas legend Alejandro Escovedo returns with Italian band Don Antonio supporting and backing his set performing songs from their new album,”The Crossing” out this Sept on Yeproc plus Alejandro classics. Alejandro was named artist of the decade by No Depression and has released 11 solo albums as well as recording and playing with Alt Country pioneers Rank and Fie and the True Believers.

Ian Felice 29th October

We are looking forward to welcoming Ian Felice, the lead singer of The Felice Brothers for a rare Glasgow solo show in Stereo on the 29th October.

Ian has been the lead singer and songwriter for The Felice Brothers for over a decade. Born and raised in the Catskill Mountains he moved to New York when he was 18 to study art and soon after began writing songs and performing with his brothers Simone and James.

Two very different shows, the first night we had as Ross introduced her, “the first lady of Scottish Music Eddi Reader” joining Blue Rose Code for a few songs. The second night we had a full band show that had the crowd on their feet.

What a special treat for us to look forward to later in the year.

Californian alt-rock hero Chuck Prophet returns to Glasgow, for his first ever duo show with his wife and co-conspirator, Stephanie Finch this September. The tour features Chuck and Stephanie playing songs on acoustic and with keyboard with tracks from each others albums spanning over twenty years digging deep into some tunes you haven’t heard for awhile. They will be joined by friend and native New Yorker Jesse Malin whom will also be playing a full set with his keyboardist. Jesse has toured the UK for the last 20 + years too with a rich musical history. Chuck and Jesse will be closing out the night together on stage.

Eddi Reader To Join Blue Rose Code On The 6th June

We are looking forward to two shows back to back this weekend in Glasgow & Edinburgh with Aidan O’Rourke from LAU & Kit Downes with special guest author James Robertson.

James wrote a series of short stories every day for a year and the result was “365”, so Aidan followed suit by writing a tune in every day for a year and his new album is called, “365 Volume 1”.

The Edinburgh show will take place in The Pleasance Theatre on Saturday 14th April, you can buy tickets here, with the following night being in The Drygate Glasgow, you can buy tickets here.


Swedish roots ambassadors Vasen return to Glasgow.











After their sell out show during Celtic Connections, Sweden’s leading roots music ambassadors, Väsen return to St Andrew’s In The Square Glasgow on Sunday 22nd April.

Last time they were in the UK, BBC World Music presenter Mary Ann Kennedy crowned them “supreme rulers of the trad world” and, following one show, music writer Rob Adams (The Herald) described them as “astonishing,” and added: “if they come anywhere near you, move heaven and earth for a ticket”.

The wonderful Carter Sampson plays a May date in The Glad Café.









We were delighted have given Carter Sampson her Glasgow debut in 2017, and can’t wait to have this very talent singer song writer back in our company.

Carter plays The Glad Café on Saturday 12th May with Jesse Aycock, and Lauren Barth who will open up the show as a duo performing sings from their own albums.

An Evening with Mary Gauthier

Fallen Angels Club favourite Mary Gauthier will be at Saint Luke’s on the 13th May.











Mary Gauthier has been a welcome visitor to The Fallen Angels Club ever since she played our first Glasgow Americana festival in 2007. Mary returns on Sunday the 13th May to Saint Luke’s Glasgow where the show is sure to be a sell out. The Jellyman’s Daughter & Roseanne Reid

Next Wednesday the 21st March in The Glad Café we have the wonderful Jellyman’s Daugher launching their new album “Dead Reckoning” with special guest Roseanne Reid.

The Jellyman’s Daugher played a fantastic set during our Glasgow Americana festival in 2016, hopefully this album will propel them to a higher level and let their music reach a bigger audience.

March has been a very busy month for us with some great shows by Beth Nielsen Chapman, Caroline Spence, The Handsome Family and Jason Ringenberg. Thanks to all came out and supported the shows. With an unabashed embrace of gleeful, melodic choruses delivered in Jill’s unmistakeable warm and heart-wrenching voice.

Jill Jackson Album Launch

 We are delighted to be working with the wonderful Jill Jackson to help launch her new album, “Are We There Yet?” This will take place at Saint Luke’s Glasgow on Friday the 18th May.

Are We There Yet? is the long awaited 5th solo album by Paisley born singer songwriter Jill Jackson, a record that bears the hallmarks of a 25yr musical journey that has taken her from Paisley to Top of The Pops to playing in every State of America (50 States in 50 Days…..yes really!)

Saint Huck have been confirmed as the opening act for Lindsay Lou and band at The CCA on Tuesday 20th February.

Saint Huck are a Glasgow based roots duo, and won some new fans after opening up The Stray Birds in November in Saint Luke’s.
