Thea Gilmore, who is racking up the good reviews and airplay for her latest album, The Counterweight, is bringing her distinct singer/songwriting brilliance to Glasgow again in September.

She will play Saint Luke’s on Wednesday, September 13, raiding big style her recording catalogue that’s crammed with emotional and forceful songs.

Thea says her latest release is about truth and passion, and that it was made “with fire and love”. Her shows are heartfelt affairs but not short on good humour, either.

Thea is a welcome visitor to Glasgow where she has turned in first-class performances time and again.

“Live, she’s a musician of searing talent.” – The Telegraph.

Thea Gilmore, rated by many as a hard-to-beat UK singer-songwriter, makes a welcome return to Glasgow on November 22 for a show at St Andrews in the Square.

Her albums are literate and thoughtful and on stage, she’s engaging and exuberant, entertaining her audiences with a range of carefully-crafted songs tinged with folk, rock, roots, jazz and Americana.

And tracks from the highly rated “Don’t Stop Singing” CD released last year – they brought together Gilmore’s song writing and arrangements with previously un-scored lyrics penned by folk legend Sandy Denny – are bound to feature.

Thea is a real treat as a growing army of fans will happily testify.

The ever-popular Thea Gilmore is bringing her own brand of singer/songwriter brilliance to St Andrews in the Square on Thursday, June 12.

A regular and welcome visitor to these parts, Thea’s output has been consistently highly rated and BBC Radio 2 chose her last release, 2013’s “Regardless,” as its Album of the Week last April.

With fourteen albums in her recording catalogue, she maintains an emotional and forceful quality in all her songs – and on stage, she’s funny, warm and totally captivating.

Thea has a growing list of live shows lined up this year including the BST Hyde Park Festival with Elton John and Elvis Costello.
