Emily Barker released her new album A Dark Murmuration of Words on September 4th 2020 through Thirty Tigers. Produced by Greg Freeman and recorded at StudiOwz, a converted chapel in the Welsh countryside, the album received critical acclaim aplenty and topped the official Americana Albums chart. Throughout the ten songs that make up the album, Barker draws connections between the familial, the local, and the global: a mother sings to her unborn child, asking for its forgiveness on ‘Strange Weather’; ‘When Stars Cannot Be Found’ explores the humbleness and comfort of the night sky when far away from home. Other highlights include the nostalgic ‘Return Me’, ‘The Woman Who Planted Trees’, the gloriously defiant ‘Machine’ and the effortless album closer ‘Sonogram’.
Austin Lucas’ new album Alive In The Hot Zone was written and recorded in the earliest days of the Covid-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter/American uprising. This album represents a new direction
for Austin, yet retains his distinctive voice and hyperliterate writing style. Contained are ten songs that serve as direct commentary regarding the ongoing global situation, isolation, fear and the indomitable
spirit required to stand up against systemic racism and fascism, in a world spiraling out of control.
An American songwriter and political activist currently experiencing a more or less involuntary exile, Austin finds himself isolated in a foreign land, far away from his family and friends.
I bought a ticket for Austin Lucas today through PayPal and have not received a link yet. When is that happening?
Hi Nick, apologies, I have just sent it, sorry for the delay. They have only sang one song each. Thanks for your support.
