Glasgow Americana 10th Anniversary
We are getting all geared up for our 10th Glasgow Americana festival which kicks off on Wednesday the 5th October. We will be at various venues across the city until Sunday 9th October.

The festival features Chip Taylor, The Stray Birds, Sam Outlaw, Blue Rose Code, The Wynntown Marshals plus loads more..

Cale Tyson Glasgow Debut
We have said in the past how we have been privileged to give so many amazing singers and musicians their Glasgow debut, delighted to add Cale Tyson’s name to the prestigious list. Carrie-RODRIGUEZAn Evening with Carrie Rodriguez
The hugely talented Carrie Rodriguez, with current bilingual album, “Lola”, winning loud applause, is set for a return visit to Glasgow in November.

The singer and fiddle player will appear at The Admiral on Tuesday, November 15.

The latest offering from the Austin, Texas-based musician is an intriguing and delicate mixture of new and old songs, featuring songs written by some of Carrie’s favorite Mexican composers, as well as her own Ranchera-inspired original songs written in English, Spanish and “Spanglish.

We are bringing you this show in association with our friends at The Star Folk Club.

Country/folk trio Applewood Road are heading to Glasgow for a Classic Grand show in November.

The three excellent songwriters in the band – Emily Barker, Amy Speace and Amber Rubarth – first got together to make music in September 2014 and within 24 hours had created the song that would become their collective name.

They were flown in from their base in Canada for a sold-out headline show at Glasgow’s Tron Theatre during Celtic Connections Festival this year after winning major TV exposure when tracks from the sensational To Build A Fire album were chosen as the backdrop to the recent BBC 2 TV drama based on Iain Banks’ Stonemouth novel.

The new album – Sex & Politics – got its official UK launch in January and once again confirmed them as a creative tour de force.

Amy Rigby established herself as a solo artist in 1996 with debut album Diary Of A Mod Housewife, but had already been writing and performing her honest, intelligent and instantly-memorable songs for years as a member of early NYC alt-country band Last Roundup and girl group the Shams.
