Singer/songwriters, Boo Hewerdine and Darden Smith have been collaborating for the past 30 years – and this will be celebrated in style with a Scottish date in May.

Englishman, Boo and Austin, Texas-based, Darden are playing the Glad Café on Sunday, May 20.

Both men have many admirers and have been justifiably praised for their work as solo artistes and collaborative songsmiths as well

Boo’s 2017 release, “Swimming in Mercury” offered a personal insight into a musical journey back through time – and he also remains in demand as a producer.

Darden’s 30-year career redefines what it means to be a musician and his latest album, “Everything” carries a timely message of unity.

In addition to fifteen critically-acclaimed albums, he is the founder and creative director of SongwritingWith:Soldiers, a non-profit organisation that pairs professional songwriters with veterans and service members in retreat settings to craft songs about combat and the return home.

These two men are hugely respected by fans and the music business such is the quality of their output over the decades. It’s a real privilege to have them in Glasgow for a celebration of their working together.
