Twice Grammy nominated Matraca Berg has provided pivotal hits for traditional and progressive women: from the Dixie Chicks to Patty Loveless, Trisha Yearwood to Gretchen Wilson as well as Linda Ronstadt and Dusty Springfield.

And her own output – as clearly demonstrated on her 2011 release “The Dreaming Fields” – evokes melodies laden with emotion in songs that provide windows into the truths, secrets and moments that people hide away.

The Songwriters’ Hall of Famer’s “Sunday Morning To Saturday Night” is rated as one of the Top 10 Albums in any genre by Time, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, People and a variety of daily newspapers.

Nashville resident, Matraca brings a gorgeous honesty and warmth to her compositions of longing, desire, survival and, sometimes, even fighting back.

As Kris Kristofferson said in one interview: “….I just heard a great album that Matraca Berg did. It’s the first one in a long time – it’s really good, ‘The Dreaming Fields.’ She’s one of the best singer-songwriters now.”
