Singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist, Brennen Leigh will play The Admiral in Glasgow on Friday, November 7.

With fans such as David Olney and Jim Lauderdale, Brennen’s to-the-point storytelling style has elevated her to new found cult status in Europe, across the United States, South America and most notably in her native Austin, Texas.

Her whip-smart songs have been recorded by the likes of Lee Ann Womack while she has also collaborated with song writing luminaries such as Lauderdale, John Scott Sherrill and Olney.

When not on tour, she splits her time between Austin, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee. Gurf Morlix, no less, produced her latest album, “Before the World Was Made,” a joint effort with Noel McKay.

It has been lauded and praised as “a witty, heartfelt record of dusty barroom shuffles, sassy two-steps and ethereal country-folk, informed by the vintage duets of George Jones and Melba Montgomery, as well as the more modern pairing of John Prine and Iris DeMent.”
